48 Christmas Wishes

Is '48 Christmas Wishes' (2017) available to watch on UK Netflix - NewOnNetflixUK

48 Christmas Wishes had us asking 48 questions within the first 11 minutes. Such as, what is that elf doing to the clock? How are they painting that train? Why’s Santa laughing at the cookies? Who let the kid decorate? Why is the dresser in front of the window? Why couldn’t George’s ears match his skin colour?! And why was the fire green?

The North Pole set is lovely and warmly lit which lulls you into a comfy feeling but the pause before each line changes that eventually. The elves really are trying with their delivery but in a school play kind of way. I was ready to give up at the unexplained flossing but Matt’s constant search for the fuzzy feel-goods meant that delirium set in and everything became really comical. Not sure if it was meant to be really.

We quit after 48mins with some essential fast forwarding. Can’t recommend this movie. Liam Macdonald is excellent. That’s it.
